Hyde Park lies somewhere between the central metropolitan area and the outer slums, in the middle of a cozy neighborhood district surrounded by townhomes. Many would imply that the park procures the best of both worlds; the upper-class and lower-classes of the city. It is surely not the safest place after sunset, but the park is often bustling with activity during the day. The park occupies almost 800 acres of the city. A carousel is located mid-park and is open daily between Spring and Autumn. Located at the southeast corner of the park and enclosed by a natural wall of trees and shrubs, the pond provides solace from the city’s turmoil.
