The transit system is located beneath the city in a series of underground tunnels. These railway lines are separate from the underground tracks that were once used by freight trains. While the train passages have been vacant for several years, these subway tunnels are in active use. A vast majority of citizens use the subway as a means of daily transportation to and from their work environments. There are various subway platforms stationed throughout the city. Some are used more than others. Any abandoned or unused stations are usually occupied by the homeless, through they more commonly choose the empty train tunnels.
