Aloof,
Iscariot learned at a very early age that by expressing his emotions, he was making During his childhood, Iscariot quickly became aware of just how vulnerable emotions made him. They allowed the darkness of the world to swiftly and easily take a firm grip on his outlook on life, which led him to resort what he thought was best: stoicism. While it effectively terminated the sadness, Iscariot couldn’t help but realize the decline of relationships he once held. No one wanted to associate themselves with a creature as mechanic as he; however, that reality did not take long to accept. He adapted and went on with life, and he still doesn’t care much about having friends. They are nothing but dead weight in his hardened mind, so Iscariot very rarely gets involved in the affairs of others, nor does he particularly care for their well-being. It’s every man for himself, according to the so-called tin-man.
Persistent,
Although Iscariot rarely commits himself to anything long-term, he has the ability to stick with a specific task and/or goal until it is completed. He does not enjoy the bitter taste of failure and would never willingly give in to it. Thus, it is easy to predict that Iscariot would go to incredible lengths to accomplish whatever he happens to set his mind to; however, he can become somewhat irritable when things start to get excessive or too trying on his patience.
Low self-esteem,
The past has created a lot of inner turmoil for Iscariot, especially in regards to how he views himself. Things have happened that he feels he could have stopped, but failure to do anything has driven him to self-hate. On the inside, Iscariot has established a firm belief that he is, in fact, weak. He thinks he doesn’t deserve to be alive, and although his thoughts have strayed to suicide more than once, Iscariot never follows through. The tiny spark of light in his soul has always managed to convince him that he cheated death for a reason; he just to figure out what that reason is.Until that day, Iscariot will proceed to unnecessarily blame and despise himself.
Dutiful,
Iscariot’s first instinct is to always put himself before others, but there has always been a small glimmer of valor within him. In most cases, it requires something particularly drastic for the man to even consider coming to the aid of another dog. Nevertheless, Iscariot is capable of acts of gallantry. It screams of stolidity and seriousness, yet he feels compelled to do these things as a means of finding his purpose... but more so to perhaps atone his past mistakes.
Addict,
Addiction has been a struggle for Iscariot for as long as he can remember. After the horrifying death of his mother (and the events prior), he resorted to the seeds of morning glory. They offered him joy when it was nearly impossible to procure. It didn’t take long for him to become dependent on them, and he still ingests them for the sole purpose of actually feeling something. The effects can sometimes vary, but for the most part, Iscariot experiences a diminished sense of reality; nothing exists other than himself and the things around him. For the most part, he will become blissful and carefree, but there is the occasional trip where his mood takes a dramatic nosedive. Finally, if Iscariot happens to consume one too many seeds, vomiting is a very real possibility. It has happened once before, and it’s bound to happen again.
p h y s i q u e
Iscariot is a far cry from every girl’s picture of perfection. His body is not chiseled as if the angels themselves carved him from the finest stone, nor is he some huge hulking best made up of teeth and sheer brawn. In fact, it would be fair to simply call him average. His eyes, although a lovely shade of auburn, are not astonishingly blue… hell, they’re sometimes even stricken with redness and thin, streaking blood vessels—a result of seed ingestion, no doubt.
It is a special day when one finds Iscariot’s coat looking smooth and cared for. He often leaves it unkempt, as it would be too hard of a battle to even attempt proper grooming. Who truly needs a luxurious coat in the streets, anyways? That aside, Iscariot is referred to as a ‘wolf grey’ husky; his coat colour resembles that of his wolf brethren, and humans often mistook him for one.
Iscariot normally maintains a healthy weight during the warmer months, being fully capable of hunting for himself. In the winter, he is prone to losing a few pounds due to a drastic decrease in prey—humans aren’t too keen on feedings stray dogs, either. Nevertheless, his body is in good enough shape to keep him going year-round.

Iscariot and his siblings were born under the roof of mankind. Their first couple months went smoothly, but on one particular evening, the home they lived in went up in flames. This effectively ended the days of utter bliss and ushered in a much less desirable lifestyle, one that was sure to leave a mark on the family as a whole.
After fleeing from the blaze (with the help of Mother, of course), the foursome ended up finding themselves in the company of a band of males—including Iscariot’s father. They were taken in and cared for quite well, although Mother and Father didn’t necessarily get along. It wasn’t unusual to overhear their screaming and yelling, although he never enjoyed the evenings he desperately tried to block them out.
As the pups were on the cusp of reaching one year, their parents finally snapped. A furious brawl ensued; however, Mother could not properly defend herself against Father and his lackeys. She was swiftly backed into a corner, Iscariot being the only other one there to possibly help her out. Unfortunately, the young male was far too frightened to even consider moving a muscle. He was frozen and unable to come to her aid. Instead of sweeping in to protect her (not that a boy his age could stand a chance against four adults), he merely stood and watched his mother die.
Any dog with a brain would have known that there was no way he could have chased off the attackers, yet Iscariot immediately condemned himself and ran from the scene. Blinded by anger and fear, he led himself directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The remainder of the evening is nothing more than a blur to him now, but he remains ever-aware of his so-called cowardice and has never forgiven himself for it.
