Doe-like,
Flo has an air about her that screams innocence, and that is only all too accurate. She is greatly naive in an unforgiving world, which makes her an excellent target for the shadier characters that inhabit the island. Nevertheless, she's infinitely submissive... perhaps to a point where it may become a danger to her well-being. Yet even in a 'dog-eat-dog' environment, Flo finds a way to keep her tender demeanor in-tact.
Gullible,
With a mind like Flo's, it is easy to assume that she finds herself under the belief of many things that may not be completely true. It's not for a lack of intellect, but more so her fear of the bad things in life that allows others to dictate some portions of her life. Of course she won't believe outrageous claims of beasties in the night, but the more subtle fibs may just find a way to slip past her sense of reality.
Dependent,
Because of her lifestyle prior to living on her own, Flo often looks to others for all types of support. She has only just managed to get by when it comes to hunting and the likes, having become accustomed to mouse meat and other less-than-desirable food sources. Naturally, she seeks out the assistance of others, and has at times displayed a tendency to become somewhat attached.
Polite,
No matter the etiquette of another dog, Flo remains eternally kind. Her manners are incredible in even the worst situations, and she will never stoop so low as to use a derogatory term. In essence, she is the epitome of a cherub; angelic and empathetic.
Forgiving,
One could drive a stake directly through this girl's heart and they would still be able to get away with it. It can truly be an unfortunate thing, Flo's ability to dismiss the mistakes of others; however, she doesn't seem to show any concern in the matter. She absolutely hates having to deal with anger towards another, and therefore avoids it by merely cutting it out completely. In the end, her willingness to forgive could quite easily be her downfall.

A petite little darling, Flo is perhaps best noted for her light coat, more specifically called fawn, including a partial blue mask on her snout. There is also an evident of fading along her lower stomach and legs. She tries her darnedest to maintain decent hygiene, which often shows through the general cleanliness and lack of debris her coat possesses.
Flo stands approximately 20" at the shoulder, which isn't an impressive height compared to the greater majority of the population; however, she doesn't seem to take that into consideration when around others. Her legs are thin and delicate, so she is naturally a graceful mover. That can also be attributed to her overall build, especially the deep chest and small midsection. Not only does that promote elegance, but it boosts her aerodynamics--she's one speedy little mamacita!
Going into further detail, one would find that Flo owns a pair of particularly large ears; they are often flopped forward to a slight degree. Her eyes are dark and expressive, frequently reflecting the joy that just doesn't seem to wane for the girl.

Flo was born into the comfortable care of a lovely young woman, and although she wasn't planned, she was welcomed with open arms... along with two other siblings–a brother and a sister. The three of them and their mother had it good, as their human loved and cared for them as if they were her own children. Hell, Flo's only issue was simply choosing which toy to play with next! Needless to say, her awareness of the troubles in the outside world were non-existent.
At about a year old, Flo was given to her owner's niece as a birthday present; four whippets was simply too much for one person to handle. The new girl turned out to be quite a lot of fun, especially for an energetic dog such as herself. They played fetch, they ran around in the field, they played tug-of-war... everything. Flo wouldn't have changed a thing in the world if given the opportunity; however, the world had plans for her, and they didn't involve the little girl she'd grown to love dearly.
One late evening, after the family had settled into their beds, a shady figure crept smoothly through the maze of toys that littered the backyard. It slithered closer to the home and approached the door without so much of a sound. The man masterfully manipulated the lock and gently pushed it open, stepping inside and immediately hushing the alarm before the brief time allowance ran out. Yet, as he turned around, his elbow had jerked just a little too much and sent a vase to the ground. The sound of shattering glass raced through the house and woke the family–including Flo. Predictably, the father was the first to investigate. He rushed down the hall to find the intruder standing near the door with a large blade in-hand, then raced towards his daughter's room and then his own bedroom. Both wife and child fled from the home, followed by the husband, leaving a panicky Flo behind inside her kennel.
Before the police could arrive, the crook made certain to grab a few items, and let Flo out in the process; her barking had gotten irritating. The moment she was free, the young whippet ran from the house in whatever direction her legs took her and never looked back.
Despite several days-worth of searching for her family, Flo never caught even the slightest trace of them. Since then, she'd simply been out wandering by herself, stopping to talk to anyone willing to listen.
