Basically Dyer is a quite difficult dog to be around with, especially if you are very impatient. At first he may appear as an annoying bastard but there is something more about him than just that. He is cruel, vicious, and very sly and, because of this, he likes to think himself as the prince of hell.

INTELLIGENT. This mutt is highly intelligent, with most of his experiences gained by travelling a lot and observing other creatures' behaviour. He also enjoys using his brain to solve puzzles, riddles, or any tricky situation he may have gotten himself into. Most may think that this trait is a positive aspect of his personality but in fact it's completely opposite. Dyer gets a kick out of using his brain to identify any other dog's possible weak points and, if it's found, it's likely that he would mock them, using their weakness again and again until he finally pisses them off. He would use his wit against everyone, no matter who they might be. After all, if the situation escalates, Dyer can easily use his wit to evade this problem.

ALERT. With his sharp features and wit, it isn't very surprising to know that Dyer is a vigilant animal.With his increased hearing and sharp doggy nose, not much can really escape his senses and, with his sharpened mind, he would immediately start to pick things out that seem odd to him. Sure, he can easily ignore them but, due to him not wanting to look weak, he just has to notice them. Dyer likes to think himself as a superior animal, and that nothing can escape him. So basically his arrogance increases his obsession of being alert at all times.

CONFIDENT. Dyer Sawyer is very confident and he isn't scared of showing it. In fact, he flaunts it. His confidence is bordering on extreme arrogance and he doesn't care about this. He is very sure with himself and his features, very sure that nothing about him will fail him. The malinois has put himself on a pedestal and believes that nothing is better or higher than where he is right now. There is something at the back of his brain that keeps telling him that the higher he puts himself the more longer and humiliating the fall from grace would be. But, being so cocky and confident beast he is, Dyer often dismisses that thought as he thinks it's very unlikely. After all, why would he fail himself?

CALM. One reason that he can be terrifying is how controlled he appears, even while being vicious. He is well composed and is unlikely to betray his anger or any violent emotions. An unpleasant grin to show his deep satisfaction or a cold glare for his immense anger were enough for him. Dyer believes that being calm can dominate and control others more quicker and easily than showing silly outbursts of aggression. Besides what is the point to see red and lose control? He knows he will lose sight of everything if he happens to lose his composure, and he's slightly frightened of that. But, occasionally, he does get angry and it is a quite frightening sight to see.

TOUGH. He appears tough and unafraid and that is because he is a good actor. Again this is an act of showing the lack of weakness. Even though he may not look like it, Dyer, like most of other animals, is afraid of a lot of things including disgrace, failing, weakness, and losing. He chooses not to reveal these fears because he does not want to be one of those dogs fighting but failing to survive in this hostile world. In his mind, he is a villain those dogs are fighting to remain alive. Besides how can a villain who show his fear survive against the fighters?

SARCASTIC. Dyer Jasper Sawyer likes to confuse and irritate others with his use of sarcasm. Sarcasm is used for his amusement. He finds using it hilarious, mostly because of other dogs' stupidity; how they take it quite literally amuses him very much. He takes almost nothing seriously so why should others? Also this is another way to show others that they aren't as important or clever as him.

SADISTIC. Pain is one of few things he enjoys seeing. The squirming and writhing body of a dog in pain is very amusing for him to watch. To watch a body falling under the control of pain makes him feel more stronger and superior than others. Observing other dog inflicting pain into another is fun but not as fun as inflicting it himself. To have his body to provoke that kind of effect in others is inspiring for him, as it shows what a mind and body can do. Torturing others is another way to show others how controlling Dyer can be.

MANIPULATIVE. Lies, manipulating, pretending amongst many others are just a few examples of Dyer's favourite pastimes. He believes in exaggerating something to get what you want or to get along in life is a good way. In fact, he thinks it is the only way; most of his reputation has been greatly exaggerated. His habit of lying isn't only because of that; he lies for fun, to get the desired reaction, or to encourage others to do or feel something. More often than not you'll see him attempting to twist one's mind to his liking.

POSSESSIVE. Due to his history of losing a lot of things, it isn't surprising to know that he tends to be possessive sometimes. There are many things he can get possessive over even if most of them aren't his. These things can be territory, accessories, objects, and even other dogs, especially girls. Once Dyer thinks something is his and already has got his claws on it, it would be incredibly hard, if not impossible, to change his mind. In fact, it is not a good idea to try and change his mind as he would see this as a threat.

DOMINEERING. This stems from both the confidence/arrogance and possessive traits of his personality. Dyer Jasper Sawyer's violent tendencies leads him to believing the only way to control others is to be very assertive but he often ends up as aggressive. He doesn't care about the means if the end result is just what he wanted.

OBSESSIVE. Dyer Sawyer can be very obsessive with a lot of things. Superiority is one of them along with strength and violence. Without them, he worries that he is nothing, just an empty shell. At the very root of most of his actions is his obsessions; they are very reasons why he does things he does. In fact, some says that Dyer is quite insecure, and this explains his obsession of being at the top of everything.
